CG Guitar Lessons

History

When I was a teenager I went through a phase where I was lost. I was frustrated and didn't know how to relate. My dad brought home a semi hollow f-hole guitar with the strings very high off of the neck. Not long before this I had heard some music on a record that made me want to lean how to play. It was the late Randy Rhoads who played for Ozzy at the time. Back then we had no internet and I couldn't afford a teacher, so I started learning by ear. Hit play on the cassette tape, try to find the note on the guitar and build from there. I've stepped away from playing a couple of times in my life with marriage and children, but each time the instrument and music called back to me and the evolution of technology has just fed my desire to be involved. Each time I've returned my music tastes have evolved and I realized how much my original learning was done almost backwards. I learned song keys, scale varieties and songwriting principles along with recording and varying instruments.

Specialties

The key that separates us from other guitar lessons is the way we individualize the lessons to what music you like and what your long term goal is with the instrument. There's no need to go through a generic book to learn to play this instrument, but understand we will give you plenty of information to learn.
