University Physicians Healthcare is a nonprofit organization that provides care for patients, educates medical students, trains physicians and conducts clinical research. It operates outpatient clinics and centers throughout southern Arizona and provides services ranging from general practice to highly specialized services. It provides inpatient and outpatient services, including gastroenterology, genetics, geriatrics, pediatric neurology, pulmonology, radiation oncology and cardiology. It offers a wide range of medical services in the field of anesthesiology, infectious diseases, integrative medicine, internal medicine, orthopaedic surgery, plastic and cosmetic surgery, surgical oncology, transplant surgery, trauma surgery and urology. Established in 1985, University Physicians Healthcare has more than 350 physicians, over 260 nurses and nearly 1,250 staff members and is located in Tucson, Ariz.
