Camp Shane was founded in 1968, and still run by the Ettenberg family. Since then, thousands of parents have entrusted us with their children. We run extraordinary weight loss Camps that everyone is proud to be a part of - kids, parents and staff. We maintain high ethics and an overriding commitment to care. Our impressive facilities, our superb staff, marvelous planning, and professionals such as our Physician, Registered Dietitian and licensed PhD Therapist combine to provide the best Camp experience you can find. Yes, we're a weight loss Camp, but we're not obsessed with dieting like most fat camps. We also work with the parents, providing education and guidance on what to do when your camper comes home. Camp Shane Arizona is located 75 minutes north of Phoenix with 360 degree views of distant mesas and mountains. The site features a distinctly western feeling and design. At an elevation of 4000 feet the climate is quite pleasant without the intense heat of southern Arizona. This program is unique in that it offers 25,000 acres for horseback riding as well as green irrigated playing fields and lawns and a beautiful outdoor pool. Campers ranging in age from 8 - 18 can take advantage of two, four or six week sessions at a very affordable price. Your camper will experience a life change they will never forget.
