As an Addiction Medicine doctor, I believe in treating patients with the same care, dedication, and compassion that I would expect a member of my family to be treated. I approach each patient as a unique individual and tailor care to their experience and goals. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach and involving all members of the care team to help patients reach their goals. I strive to deliver comprehensive, evidence based, compassionate care.

I practice patient-centered care with an emphasis on education. Patient-centered care focuses on shared-decision making with the patient and myself, together incorporating medical recommendations with a patient’s preferences. I like to work together with my patients to come up with a treatment plan that work for them while also keeping them and their baby as safe as possible. It is important to me to keep a patient’s mental wellbeing in mind when making decisions, not just their physical wellbeing. Finally, I believe that educating patients about their diagnoses is important so that they understand what is going on with their body, why I am recommending certain treatment regimens, and how we can work together to help them have the healthiest version of their pregnancy.

My approach to practice is centered on empathy and providing holistic, patient-centered care. I take the time to truly listen to my patients, understanding their unique concerns and needs. By offering guidance and support, I help them make informed decisions that are in their best interest. I strive to foster a collaborative partnership, working alongside patients to achieve optimal health outcomes and empower them to take an active role in their care.
