The Arizona Statewide Independent Living Council (AZSILC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting equality, inclusion, and choice for individuals with disabilities throughout Arizona. By fostering systemic change and enhancing the delivery of Independent Living programs and services, AZSILC aims to empower people with disabilities to lead independent lives.
As one of the 56 federally mandated Statewide Independent Living Councils, AZSILC is composed of members appointed by the Governor, including individuals with diverse disabilities and advocates. The Council is actively involved in the development, monitoring, and review of the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL), collaborating with five Centers for Independent Living across the state.
