The Pacific AIDS Education Training Center (Pacific AETC) is a member of a national network of AIDS Education Training Centers, covering all 50 states and US Territories. Their mission is to expand the number and capabilities of healthcare professionals and organizations in the Pacific region to provide high-quality HIV-related services, with the goal of increasing access to healthcare and reducing health inequities. The Pacific AETC offers a range of services, including HIV prevention, screening, linkage to care, engagement and retention in care, antiretroviral treatment, and organizational capacity building.

Based at UCSF within the Department of Family Community Medicine, the Pacific AETC's Regional Office provides leadership and program direction for eight local partner sites in the Pacific region. They work towards creating a healthcare system that is accessible, responsive, culturally affirmative, and patient-centered. Through training, technical assistance, and capacity building, the Pacific AETC aims to improve healthcare outcomes for individuals living with HIV and contribute to the overall effort of ending the HIV epidemic.
