Advantage Tennis Academy

History

ATAAZ, originally Advantage Tennis Academy, start as a project run jointly with Kyrene School District. This tennis program for beginning players (grades K-8) has provided training to over 4,000 students since 2005. The program based at Kiwanis Tennis Center since 2012 was renamed Advantage Tennis Academy AZ (ATAAZ for short), and we expanded our training to include intermediate and advanced players. In this short period, we trained six players from beginner to Southwest Section top 50, and participated in the training of several others. More than 10 of our players now participate in high school varsity tennis -- including 3 who play #1 on their teams.

Specialties

USPTA Elite Professional Michael McDowell has been providing tennis instruction to players of all ages and all levels for over 15 years. We offer private, semi-private and group lessons at Kiwanis Tennis Center in Tempe: or beginner group lessons for kids grade K-5 at many Kyrene School District schools. For more serious players, consider our super slow motion video analysis with technical instruction to refine your stroke production.
