History

Our mission is to serve quality made coffee and goods to provide the best coffee experience possible with, the opportunity through the purchase of our products to become equal partners in serving others and making a difference in our community. The Salvation Army created the 1865 Coffee House Ministry to help fund the different programs available to the community.

Specialties

Non-profit coffee shop connected to the Tempe Salvation Army. Our mission is not only to provide excellent customer service, delicious drinks, and yummy treats but to also provide a place for you. We have a large dining area, free wifi, couch seating, a TV, and a stage to host small events. 1865 Coffee strives to be a place where you can come study, relax, meet old friends and make new ones, all while enjoying coffee at our low, tax-free prices. We support local, offering coffee and tea from Passport Coffee and Tea in Scottsdale. We're located on University between Mill and Myrtle, next to The Salvation Army chapel.
