The wild beauty of America's Last Frontier awaits at the Valdez KOA. Eighteen acres of wilderness surround the campground, where you can easily access hiking and ATV trails. Beyond, glacier-caked peaks dominate the view in all directions. A pristine stream flows right through the campground, churning with salmon in season. Bald eagles soar by, and the occasional bear wanders through. With a camp store, Wi-Fi upgraded in 2022 for lightning fast streaming, guest laundry with coin machine and bill changer, two bath houses with 4 private locking bathroom/shower rooms and 2 half bathrooms, a large greenspace with playground, dog park and games, and other on-site services, you can settle right in and get ready to explore this magnificent region (ask about LuLu Belle tours). Charter a local guide to fish world-class waters for salmon and halibut. Board a wildlife excursion boat to scan the Sound for humpback whales, fuzzy sea otters, comical-looking puffins and other birds not often seen in the Lower 48. Come face-to-face with one of the largest tidewater glaciers in North America, an ice sheet as high as a football field and another big Alaska memory. Open May 24 (weather permitting). Max pull thru: 100 feet. Military Veteran owned campground. All Military receive discount. Your host: General Manager Lori
