Established in 1975, Nine Star Enterprises is a private, nonprofit organization providing various social welfare and community services, such as work force development. It provides various programs, including literacy, job readiness and professional development. It offers a wide range of educational and training programs and various organizational development and technical services throughout Alaska. It also offers adult education classes, computer instruction and work-readiness workshops. The company works in coordination with Americorps and VISTA. It provides various programs for the youth, seniors and children, such as Mature Alaskans Seeking Skills Training and high school completion programs, the Youth in Transition project, and youth education and employment services program. Additionally, it provides Crossroads Caf , a program to enable students to study English. Nine Star Enterprises is located in Anchorage, Alaska.
