Established in 1957, Salty Dawg Saloon is a bar operating in a structure built in 1897. Based in Homer, Alaska, it has a distinctive lighthouse tower that covers a water storage tank, thus representing a historical and recognizable landmark. Prior to operating a bar, the structure has served as a post office, railroad station, mining office and a grocery store. It operates a store that offers clothing which includes sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, hats, bandanas, under wears and tank tops. The bar is known for the dollar bills which are signed by visitors and tacked to the walls.

Neat dive bar out in the spit. Everything is covered in dollar bills. It's worth a visit. But the prices and drinks were ok, not great. And the service was short and rude. Definitely a tourist trap.

This place is awesome and we just had to visit! Although it is small, it was packed for a Sunday.
