In 1999 RD's barber shop was established in Kenai,Ak by Raymond Darrell Smith (RD), a life time friend of david Coleson (present owner) after the passing of RD of 2002, david has 35 years of barber shop experience, 8 of those years on a military base in Alaska. Dave is also a licensed instructor for the state of Alaska. Dave also builds fine stringed instruments and offers instrument repair for the community.

The ladies at RDs Cut the best Flattop in Alaska. I have experienced the Worst ( More Expensive also ) on the Kenai Peninsula. There worth the 40 mile trip

Fired the guy in Soldotna and stopped in RD's for a men's haircut. What a nice barbershop. 4 chairs and there were three barbers working. The wait was short and received a very nice men's haircut...
