Qiveut Design, located in Palmer, Alaska, is owned by second-generation Alaskan Margaret Rye, who specializes in creating heirloom-quality items from the soft underwool of Arctic musk oxen, known as qiviut. With a focus on practicality and artistry, each piece is handcrafted in her home studio in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, supported by a talented group of fiber friends and family.

The fibers used are gathered from both wild and domesticated musk oxen, and the dyed yarns are produced in small batches, often with the help of Margaret's young family members.
