Mt Sanford Tribal Consortium
Mt. Sanford Tribal Consortium is a tribal consortium established in 1992 to advance and protect the common interests of the descendants of the Upper Ahtna indigenous people in Chistochina, Alaska.
Rooted in thousands of years of tradition, family, and cooperation, the Taa tl aa Dena Headwater People, as they are known, live their lives according to unwritten Indian laws and values. The consortium provides health services, including acute and chronic care, through a dedicated staff of Community Health Aides and a Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, they offer language lessons for the Ahtna language, with their MSTC Ahtna Language Series being the first new classroom-based material published since 1975.
