Jewels of Sheba

History

Jewels of Sheba is the result of multiple trips in to India starting in 2009. Many invitations opened the door for involvement with the Indian people through humanitarian work. When Linda was unable to go twice a year she started Jewels of Sheba as a way to stay connected and support the ongoing work. She saw it as an opportunity to support the merchants in India, bring their beautiful product to market, and turn the funds around, support the trips, and re-invest in other potential business opportunities in remote areas. Jewels of Sheba has funded a milk cow program by purchasing the initial 6 cows. The locals are working the business, growing the herd, selling the milk, providing income and nutrition to the village area. In addition, Jewels of Sheba helped to fund bringing farmland in to production by planting a cash crop. The crop is sold, and the remaining leaves also provide feed to the cows. Jewels of Sheba appreciates the opportunity to serve you, and support the work.
