Don Jose’s was established in 1982, in the small fishing town of Homer Alaska. Jose and Carmen Ramos were born in rural farm towns of Mexico. After meeting each other in beautiful sunny California, and falling in love at the tender age of 18, They decided to adventure north to Alaska, in pursuit of adventure and opportunity. It didn’t take long for Jose and Carmen to miss and crave their food from Mexico. Soon opening a little Mexican cantina to feed the hungry mariners and oil workers of Homer. Don Jose’s is proud to bring to Alaska the rich, fresh, love filled food that Mexico is known for. From out warming hearts, to your warming bellies. Since 1982, Don Jose’s is here to spice things up in Alaska.

Bummer they charge for chips and salsa. Went with friends, good food and drinks but $4.95 for chips is too much. We will find another after work hangout.
