ASRC Construction Holding Company is a subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC), which is an Alaska Native-owned corporation that represents the business interest of Arctic Slope Inupiat. Founded in 1989, the parent company was founded under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 (ANCSA) in the settlement of aboriginal land claims. Incorporated in 1972, it is a natural resource-based corporation that employs more than 8,500 individuals worldwide. ASRC operates various energy, construction, and petroleum refining and marketing divisions. The parent company offers aerospace engineering and petroleum refining and distribution services. It also provides venture capital management and oil and gas support solutions. ASRC additionally operates ASRC Energy Services, ASRC Constructors, Petro Star, SKW Eskimos and Alaska Growth Capital.
