History
The Municipality of Anchorage is the largest incororated city in Alaska and is a business, government and industry hub. The Municipal Charter established the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission in 1975 to enforce local anti-discrimination laws and further the declared public policy of the Municipality of equal opportunity for all persons.
Specialties
We take complaints of discrimination from citizens of and visitors to Anchorage, investigate them, and resolve them. We enforce federal and local anti-discrimination laws and provide training to businesses and groups in how to comply with the law.
