Alaska State Troopers

The Alaska Department of Public Safety is a state agency that provides services related to the protection of residents lives, property and wildlife resources. It enforces criminal, traffic, wildlife and fire law and regulations. Additionally, the department is responsible for various public safety-related functions, such as search and rescue, court services and criminal justice records. The Alaska Department of Public Safety is comprised of several divisions, including state troopers, fire and life safety, statewide services, wildlife troopers and administrative services. It also houses the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, Alaska Police Standards Council, and Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. The department maintains an office in Juneau, Alaska.
