History
The original Alaska Experience Theater was once on 6th Avenue in a large igloo shaped building that housed the Omni-Dome theater system. We have since moved this business to 4th Avenue in the 4th Avenue Market Place mall and have upgraded to top of the line projection systems! We have two theaters with several films showing daily. In our Safe Quake Theater we show the 1964 Earthquake Experience, recently re-made by local filmmaker Jonathan Lang! This 15 min documentary covers the largest earthquake in the Northern Hemisphere and gives you an earthquake while you are in there! In our Large theater, we show several films daily to showcase the People, History, Animals and Scenery of Alaska!
Specialties
The Alaska Experience Theater specializes in films showcasing our great state and the amazing animals, history and people!
