Alaska ATV Tours

Alaska ATV Tours provides guided tours on Kruzof Island near Sitka Alaska. These all inclusive tours begin in Sitka where we will pick you up at your desired location and transport you to the boat. You can watch for Wildlife along the shoreline and in the waters as you pass through islands and channels on the 30 minute boat ride from Sitka to Kruzof Island. When you arrive at the island your guide will give you instructions on operating the Yamaha Rhino OHV and safety equipment. Then it's off to enjoy the scenery and look for wildlife. Along the way your guide will stop and share information and stories about the area. There are 2 different tour products that are available to choose from. First is the Grizzly Meadows 4X4 Adventure. This tour is 3.5 hours with 2 hours riding on the island. This excursion includes stops in the forest and at Iris meadows estuary where you can watch for Coastal Brown Bears and Sitka Blacktail Deer. In summer(approximately mid June to mid August) there are beautiful meadows filled with Purple Iris and Alaska Cotton. The second option is the 4X4 Wilderness Adventure a 4.5 hour excursion that goes to both Iris Meadows and North Beach. Please be aware that there is construction planned on the trail to north beach during summer of 2013 so the 4.5 hour trip may or may not be available when you want to go. The restroom facilities available on the island are an outhouse and an portable environmental toilet. This tour is remote and requires riding on rough trails and sometimes the water gets choppy so guests should expect some bumps and jolts. Light snacks and refreshments are provided however if you have special dietary needs please either bring you own or give us prior notice so we can accommodate you. These excursions take you to some of the most beautiful places in the Sitka area quickly and effortlessly. These excursions are an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife of Alaska in a neatly packaged excursion.
