The Sitka History Museum, operated by the Sitka Historical Society, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of Sitka, Alaska. Established in 1957, the museum houses a diverse collection of artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of Sitka's past.
With the support of the City and Borough of Sitka and dedicated volunteers, the museum relocated to Harrigan Centennial Hall in 1967. After undergoing major renovations, the museum reopened in 2018 with new permanent and temporary exhibitions for visitors to explore and enjoy.
