Widowed Persons Service

Located in Mobile, Ala., the Widowed Person Services of Greater Mobile is nonprofit organization that serves newly widowed men and women of all ages. It is a part of the National AARP Widowed Person Services, which functions in more than 250 communities in the United States. The Widowed Person Services of Greater Mobile is locally sponsored by Radney, Radney Funeral Homes, Mobile Memorial garden Homes and several other local businesses and churches. The Widowed Person Services of Greater Mobile, with its offices at Radney Funeral Homes, sponsors a variety of efforts, including one-to-one outreach and referral, telephone service, weekly support meetings, workshops, seminars, newsletter, memorial service and dinner.
