Walnut Grove Elementary School

New Market School is a learning institute that serves more than 540 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The school offers classes in reading, math, music, fine arts, instructional technology and physical education, as well as manages a library that administers an accelerated reader program. It provides health care and guidance counseling services. New Market School also administers English Language Learners, summer, after-school, and gifted and talented programs. The school provides extracurricular activities in band and athletics. In addition, it manages a parents organization. New Market School operates a cafeteria and computer laboratories. It is governed by Madison County Schools.

Owens Cross Roads School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and provides educational instruction to more than 300 students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school organizes a range of activities and programs, such as the student council, safety patrol, yearbook, spelling bee and panoply billboard contest, as well as several after-school programs including drama, chorus and skating. The school has a media center that offers a range of dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps, magazines, portals, archives and education-related sites for additional resource to students. It also has a parent-teacher organization that plans and implements a variety of fundraising activities for the benefit of school students. The school is located in Owens Cross Roads, Ala.
