Three Springs-Courtland

Three Springs of Courtland in Alabama is an intensive residential treatment center for boys ages 12 to 18. It provides treatment for inappropriate sexual, emotional and behavioral disorders. The center offers group therapies that focus on anger management, self esteem, dysfunctional behavioral cycle, assertiveness training, values clarification and empathy. It also offers various psychological therapies to treat inappropriate sexual behavior, such as victim impact, denial, accountability, cognitive distortion and relapse prevention. In addition, the center offers recreational therapeutic activities, such as rope courses, hiking, canoeing, arts and crafts, team sports and experimental games. Three Springs of Courtland provides alcohol and drug awareness programs and offers training for independent living skills, vocational exploration and positive peer culture development. The center s staff includes adventure programmers, unit and program directors, counselor supervisors, nurses, teachers, family workers, and consulting psychologists and psychiatrists.
