The Surgery Clinic

The Surgery Clinic LLC, established in Gadsden, Alabama, in 1958 by Dr. Joe Denson, is the oldest general surgery practice in Etowah County. Over the years, it has expanded with the expertise of Dr. Lucian Newman Jr., Dr. Lucian Newman III, Dr. Charles L. Newman, and Dr. Paul J. Nordness, all of whom are Board Certified by The American Board of Surgery.

At The Surgery Clinic, patients benefit from the only surgeons in Etowah County trained to perform all forms of advanced laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic colon surgery, fundoplication surgery, single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS), and laparoscopic robotic surgery. The clinic is also represented by members of The Fellows of the American College of Surgeons, ensuring a high standard of surgical care.
