Following this, she held a platform artist position with major companies such as SoftSheen, Clairol and Quadra Curl. Alona opened her first salon in 1984 called Just 4 U. It was one of the top salons in Cleveland. She owned that shop until 1991 then she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. After moving to Atlanta, G.A. she worked in a barber shop of 9 males barbers.
