The Tennessee Valley Scottish Society (TVSS) is a non-profit educational organization based in Huntsville, AL, dedicated to promoting and preserving Scottish culture and heritage. Established in 1986, TVSS offers residents of the Tennessee Valley an opportunity to experience the rich traditions of Scotland through various events, including the North Alabama Scottish Festival, where visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as Highland Games, weapons demonstrations, and a pet parade.
With over 150 families and individuals as members, TVSS is governed by a Board of Directors and an Executive Committee. As a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) organization, TVSS aims to provide a platform for vendors, entertainers, athletes, and volunteers to participate in their events, fostering a sense of community and celebration of Scottish heritage.
