Spectracare Substance Abuse

SpectraCare, also known as The Wiregrass Mental Health Board, is a nonprofit organization that offers substance abuse treatment and mental health services. The organization accepts referrals from schools, churches, service agencies and family members. It specializes in conflict resolution and teen pregnancy and violence prevention. SpectraCare features support, counseling and residential treatment programs for drug- and alcohol-addicted individuals. In addition, the organization provides a variety of recreational activities, such as games, music, puppet shows, exercise classes, and arts and crafts. It operates a temporary residential treatment center for adult substance abusers. SpectraCare also offers crisis intervention, individual therapy and long-term recovery programs for individuals with behavioral conditions. The organization provides anger management and drug education programs. It is located in Dothan, Ala.
