Sardis City is a town located in both Etowah and Marshall counties in Alabama, part of the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area. Originally incorporated in May 1963, it adopted the name Sardis City in the 1980s and had a population of 1,814 as of the 2020 census.
Situated atop the plateau of Sand Mountain at an elevation of 1,080 feet, Sardis City covers a total area of 7.9 square miles, with a small portion extending into Marshall County. The town is bordered by Boaz to the north and is connected by U.S. Route 431, which facilitates travel to nearby cities including Albertville and Gadsden.
