Regional Paramedical Services
Regional Paramedical Services (RPS), established in 1987 by John L. Wills, has been dedicated to providing exceptional emergency medical care to Walker County and beyond, now serving seven counties with over 80 ambulances and a workforce of more than 450 employees. Recognized for its commitment to high-quality service, RPS has continuously expanded its operations and remains a leader in the EMS field in North Central Alabama.
In 2023, RPS introduced the Regional Training Institute, a non-profit initiative aimed at addressing the growing demand for trained EMS professionals through affordable and accessible education. The leadership team, comprising experienced individuals like Lee Wills, David Waid, and Lisa Thrasher, is passionate about elevating the standards of patient care and fostering the next generation of EMS providers.
