Such a beautiful park with multiple trails that are pet friendly. There's lakes and biking options as well. Definitely enjoyed the park.

Oak Mountain State Park is one of the leading recreational facilities in Alabama. It provides more than 9,940 acres of pine-studded ridges and lush green hardwood bottoms. The park features a golf course, pro shop and vacation cottages. Oak Mountain State Park also offers opportunities for guests to participate in activities, such as camping, picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and backpacking. The park features a demonstration farm and horseback riding facilities. Oak Mountain State Park also has the Wildlife Center, which is a wildlife rehabilitation center that serves over 2,000 injured and orphaned wild creatures annually. It is governed by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

The Kings Chair trail is steep in many places and flat in a few areas. I'd consider it moderate in difficulty, which I loved. The view leaves me speechless every time. Just beautiful.
