Founded in 1871, Oak Hill Cemetery is Birmingham's pioneer cemetery, and the resting place for virtually all of the city's pioneer citizens. Its 23.6 acres nestle in the North Birmingham hillside adjacent to the downtown city center, offering not only a quiet and reflective greenspace that is convenient to downtown and the Uptown and Civic Center properties, but it offers great views of downtown.
