Our business provides our customers a large variety of Fried Pies where they otherwise couldn't get except at Festivals, Fairs and Farmers Markets throughout the year! Our pies are made using my grandmother, Nellie's recipes and techniques. We fry our pies on cast iron just like the old days. Fresh fruit used in our fillings and freshly made crust made daily. We also have pecan and cream pies too!

History

Nellie's Fried Pies began from a dream that the owner, Angela Vollmer had. That dream was to share her Mamaw Nellie's Fried Pies and now is a way to keep Nellie's memory alive! It started back in 2007 when Angela's husband, Kurt deployed overseas for 15 months. She moved back home to Tennessee so her family could help her with her 4 year old son, Logan and her newborn daughter, Caedence! During those months, her Mamaw Nellie's wasn't going to let her sit around worrying about her husband. So they made pies.... LOTS of pies!! When Kurt came back from overseas, they moved to Savannah, GA then came to Fort Benning, GA. Friends started telling her that she should sell her pies at the local Farmers Market and that's what she did. She got such a loyal Following and then had business owners and restaurants reaching out for the pies For their desserts! Thus the search for a commercial space began! It was found at 3738 Opelika Road in Phenix City, AL. Doors opened November 4, 2015!
