Montgomery Habitat ReStore

Founded in 1988, Montgomery Habitat for Humanity, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, has built homes for more than 60 families. It maintains a selection committee that interviews applicants and selects homeowners for financial assistance. Montgomery Habitat for Humanity receives donations from churches, local universities, military communities and social groups. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that eliminates poverty and provides shelter to over 300,000 individuals. It has rehabilitated nearly 60,000 houses. The organization operates more than 1,300 affiliates throughout the United States and serves clients in over 45 countries. Habitat for Humanity offers mortgage loans to homeowners for the construction of houses. It reviews applications to determine the basic income and employment status of families. The organization also conducts surveys to find individuals who need houses.
