As a unified organization of individual sponsors, business, government representatives and individuals, the mission of the Chamber is to provide a prosperous environment to ensure the success of our members. New innovative ideas, and a whole new way of thinking allow us to function differently than other chambers. Our creative initiatives and strategic partnerships permit us to offer members benefits beyond the scope of what is traditional or expected. Using every avenue available, the Chamber serves to strengthen our business community through publications, events, promotion, community involvement, tourism, residential re-location information, website marketing, encouraging local consumer loyalty, fostering regional partnerships, and maintaining strong local and state government relations.HistoryIn 1996, a handful of business and civic leaders noticed the growing number and variety of businesses doing business in Mountain Brook. They saw a need for an organization to represent the best interests of these businesses and the community at large. In January of 1997, the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce was incorporated. The Chamber is now over 300 strong with the mission of providing an environment to help our members prosper and succeed through a proactive working partnership with the business community, city government and the community at large.

The Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Through tax-deductible contributions, the Foundation supports initiatives that bridge the gap between government funding and the technological, professional development, and library needs of the schools. Canterbury United Methodist Church, located in Birmingham, Ala., offers worship, learning, gift assessment, coaching, mentoring and other services to members through various ministries. The church administers Beeson Fund on behalf of Beeson family to fund projects for the needy elderly in Jefferson County, Ala.
