Dothan Water & Wastewater Division

The Dothan Water Department provides maintenance services for sanitary sewer systems and nearly 65 pumping stations. It maintains more than 34 wells and over 13 tanks. The department also operates Beaver Creek Treatment Facility, Cypress Creek Treatment Facility, Little Choctawhatchee Treatment Facility and Omussee Creek Treatment Facility. It administers a source water assessment program collects contamination items near its wells. The department maintains a distribution system that provides disinfection, hygienic and water quality control services. The Dothan Water Department has storage tanks that hold more than 14.6 million gallons of water. It is a part of the City of Dothan in Alabama, which features fire, police, public works and planning departments.
