Dismas Charities
Dismas Charities, founded in 1964 by Catholic priest Father William Diersen, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing men and women transitioning from incarceration with the skills and support needed to reintegrate into society as contributing members. With a mission to restore lives, families, and communities, Dismas Charities aims to end the cycle of victimization and heal the human spirit.
Driven by values of accountability, dignity, diversity, healing, integrity, respect, and stewardship, Dismas Charities has grown from its humble beginnings serving fifteen men at Dismas House to operating centers nationwide under the leadership of Father Diersen's enduring spirit. Celebrating over 50 years of healing the human spirit, Dismas Charities continues to empower individuals to commit themselves to positive change and transformation.
