Glenda and her late husband Charles DeRamus started DeRamus Hearing Center in Montgomery, Alabama back in 1982. DeRamus Hearing Center is the oldest independent hearing center in Montgomery, serving it's citizens with the highest level of professional care and as a non-franchised independent business, has the ability to choose from many of the top hearing instrument manufacturers to fit the best ...instruments available for the specific needs of their clients. Glenda has witnessed dramatic changes in the industry over the last ten years. The industry has seen the emergence of digital technology, which has made it possible for hearing instruments to differentiate between noise and speech. This technological advancement comes at a time when the industry is catering to an ever younger clientele. As baby boomers age, they have experienced noise on a much grander scale during their lifetimes than have any previous generation.
