Founded in 1989, NaphCare Inc. provides correctional health care services to the incarcerated population, including county, state and federal inmates. Headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., it caters health, mental, dental services for correctional facilities with various health care programs which include physician and nursing services, dental care, mental health or psychiatric care, pharmaceuticals and utilization management. The company coordinates off-site care and specialty medical services for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and also provides on-site dialysis services for county, state and federal facilities. Some of the facilities given by NaphCare Inc. include intake screening, health assessments, tuberculosis testing, mental health screening, sick call requests and prescription ordering.
