The Community Market, launched in January of 2003, is an extension of the Food Bank of East Alabama, providing a friendly grocery store environment for Lee County families in need, where they can select the food that best fits their needs.
With a mission to increase access to healthy food and cultivate dignity, self-sufficiency, and empowerment, The Community Market offers appointment-based food distribution services, as well as a supplementary Brown Bag program for seniors with limited income. Supported by community partners and volunteers, this non-profit organization plays a vital role in addressing food insecurity in the area.
