Southern Cancer Center is a community-based oncology practice dedicated to finding and providing the most effective and innovative treatment options for the patients we serve. Committed to the fight against cancer and diseases of the blood, we offer advanced technologies, disease treatment, clinical trials, counseling, genetic services and early detection. We use an integrated, team-based approach to patient care, working closely with our patients and their families to create personalized treatment plans that address both physical and emotional health.

CCI offers medical oncology, hematology services, laboratory service, genetic testing and counseling, palliative care, financial counseling, social services, support groups and more. The physicians at Clearview Cancer Institute types all types and stages of cancer, including: breast cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, leukemia, lung cancer, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, and skin cancer. CCI also treats blood disorders.

Dr. Brett Barlow joined the Clearview Cancer Institute team in August 2022. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Medical Sciences from Mississippi College and received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Barlow continued his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency before completing his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB.Dr. Barlow grew up in a small Mississippi town. He is married and has four children and enjoys woodworking. Dr. Barlow serves our Shoals location.
