Cahaba Hospice is an organization that gives care and support to terminally ill patients and their families. Cahaba Hospice serves people affected by life-limiting illness and loss by providing comprehensive, compassionate care, while respecting each person individual needs and wishes. While the control of physical pain and other physical symptoms is a primary concern for our caregivers, it is not the only priority. Terminally ill patients and their families suffer from an array of emotional, spiritual, social and financial needs. We understand these needs, and we reach out to fill them by creating a unique plan for each individual. Relieving these concerns so that life can be experienced as fully as possible is the focus of Cahaba Hospice. Residents of Dallas, Hale, Perry, Chilton, Autauga, Lowndes and Wilcox Counties who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and with a prognosis of six months or less life expectancy can use Cahaba Hospice. Cahaba Hospice gives patients th e opportunity to live in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the support and love of their family and friends. We also provide assistance and support for the patient s family; while offering support while dealing with the grief and loss. We give our patients the optimum quality of life by embracing them with our comprehensive care.
