First Christian Church offers worship services on Sunday and Wednesday. Its worship services include prayer, singing and listening to scripture. The church also hosts frequent picnics, potlucks and other gatherings designed to bring the members closer together as a church family. It caters through several ministries, such as young adult ministries, children's ministries, reconciliation ministries and men's group. First Christian Church has partnership with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada as well as the Christian Church in Alabama-Northwest Florida.

The Calhoun County Baptist Association is involved in meeting the spiritual needs of people in Calhoun County, the state of Alabama, the United States and the world over. It came into existence in the year 1892, when 29 churches in Calhoun County met at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville to form an Association. Some ministries run by the association include Baptist Service Centers, Calhoun County Jail Ministry, Vacation Bible School and World Changers. Additionally, Calhoun County Baptist Association maintains resources, such as a blog, calendar as well as various publications.
