Bevill State Community College Health

It is the policy of the Alabama State Board of Education and Bevill State Community College, a postsecondary institution under its control, that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, disability, sex, religion, creed, national origin, or age, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefit of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program, activity, or employment. Conscious effort is made to assure that all College regulations are within the scope of the lawful mission of public higher education. It is recognized that it is not a lawful mission of the College to prohibit the exercise of a right guaranteed by the Constitution or a law of the United States. However, the Administration will take direct and appropriate action in any case involving the integrity of the College and the well being of the students.

The Walker County Center of Technology, also known as WCCT, is an educational institution that offers academic programs. It serves high school students in Walker County in Alabama. The center provides classes to students in grades 10 through 12. The Walker County Center of Technology offers more than 15 career and technical programs. The center provides classes in various subjects, such as, carpentry, collision repair, and business and cooperative education. It also offers lessons in welding, health science, diesel technology and cosmetology. The Walker County Center of Technology is governed by the Walker County Public School System, which serves students in kindergarten through grade 12.

Established in 1992, Bevill State Community College operates the Walker State Technical College and the Brewer State Junior College. It offers degree programs in arts and science. Its academic courses include computer science, psychology, English, health science, political science, physical education and fine arts. Bevill State Community College offers financial aid programs, such as grants, scholarships and loans to assist students with their cost of education. It has various student organizations that deal with the activities of students. Its athletic activities include baseball, basketball, volleyball and soccer. Its library center provides an online catalog of the college. Bevill State Community College is located in Sumiton, Ala.
