SARCOA is the Wiregrass area's trusted Area Agency on Aging, dedicated to serving southeast Alabama by providing a wide range of services, programs, and benefits to seniors and the disabled. With over 100,000 seniors and disabled individuals in our community, we have a team of 100 staff members and volunteers who are committed to helping you or your loved ones lead happy and independent lives. From helping you remain independent and at home to promoting active living and good health, SARCOA is here to support you every step of the way.

Our comprehensive programs include assistance with home repairs through Neighbors For Seniors, caregiver support through the Alabama Cares Program, access to 37 senior centers in 7 counties, resources for living a healthy and active lifestyle, legal and insurance assistance, and advocacy for elder rights. Additionally, we organize annual events such as Caregiver College, Older Americans Day, Santa For Seniors, Senior Citizens Day at the Fair, and the Valentine's Day Concert to bring joy and community engagement to seniors in the Wiregrass area.
