The Andalusia Public Library, established in 1913 by the Andalusia Study Club, has evolved from humble beginnings with a collection of 100 donated books to a vital community resource. The library, affectionately known as one of the loveliest in Alabama, has expanded multiple times, including a significant move to the former post office building in 1967.

With a diverse range of services, including a genealogy department, computer lab, and engaging programs for children and teens, the library promotes learning and community engagement. Additionally, patrons can access digital resources through platforms like Libby and HeritageHub, enriching their educational and genealogical pursuits.

The Library staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. A super nice new library, The Director and staff offer programs for every age group. The large selection of books draws people in.
