The More Up Campus in Montgomery, Alabama, is dedicated to addressing historical racial injustices and honoring the lives of voiceless individuals. At the center of its mission is the Mothers of Gynecology monument, which celebrates the contributions and sacrifices of Anarcha, Lucy, and Betsey, three enslaved women who were pivotal to the development of gynecology.
In addition to the monument, the campus aims to provide healing and education through initiatives such as The Mothers of Gynecology Health and Wellness Museum and the Creative Changemakers Museum. These projects focus on inspiring future generations by exploring untold histories and promoting social justice activism within the community.

A beautiful outdoor display of art and story. Having these women outdoors is an impactful experience and an important story in our history.
