Alabama Christian Dance Theatre

Carrollton Academy of Dance has the distinction of being the oldest dance studio in Carroll County. The studio began in 1977, and today is under the direction of Heather Parker. Since the beginning, CAD has specialized in age appropriate costuming, musical selections, and choreography. We hold all of our teachers and students to the highest of expectations and encourage all to give nothing less than their best in every endeavor they commit to. We offer classes for students wishing for just a recreational activity and also to those who want to train more intensively. Classes are offered in the disciplines of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary. Periodically throughout the year we also offer Musical Theatre camps, six week sessions for those who do not want to commit to an entire season, master classes, and much more! Classes start at the age of 2 years. CAD is excited to present it's first annual production of the Nutcracker in December 2010. We also offer a Winter Extravaganza Recital for our youngest dancers that includes a surprise appearance from a very special visitor and an end of the year recital held in May/June. CAD is the home to the Carrollton Academy of Dance Performing Arts Company (CADPAC). Members of the CADPAC are chosen through audition, or by invitation from the director. These students travel throughout the south for conventions, workshops, and competitions. The CADPAC continues to bring home top honors year after year. CADPAC was founded in 2003 to give CAD students more performance opportunities, and also to grow more extensively in the art of dance.

Douglasville School of Dance, celebrating 50 years of excellence, offers a nurturing and wholesome Christian environment for students aged 3 to 18. With a focus on instilling values such as goal setting, perseverance, and positive self-esteem, DSD provides quality dance instruction across various styles including tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop.
