Malkia Park is the first private ZOO in Slovakia, which was open for the first time in 4th of June of 2016 in Orechová Potôn. The park is named after our first rescued lioness Malkia. In the Swahili language, Malkia name means queen, and since the lion is the king of animals, we can, representatively, call Malkia Park a royal park. The animals that found a refuge within us were mostly born in captivity and therefore would not survive in the wild. Although, unfortunately, we cannot give them true freedom, we offer a helping hand to whom we have the opportunity to provide proper care (primates, carnivores, toothed animals, parrots, ungulates, reptiles, rodents...). Approximately 253 specimens, 68 different species of animals gradually found their home in an area of 7.2 ha. We provide shelter for more than 50 felines (lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, lynxes, cougars, cheetahs). You can pet and feed some of them, such as our zebras, camels and llamas, with our food.
